A big realization from a little- last part

His life story goes like this- He lost his mother and brother in an accident some years ago. The same disaster made his father half paralysed and there is two people who survived, he and his sister. His sister is studying in 10th standard, and he in 5th now. Thank God, there are still some Govt. schools that provide education and also lunch, so that even the poor people can get their children primary education. He told them, how he and sister manage to get their needs done like, food, clothes, and a big part for their father’s treatment. His sister do household works in some homes, and they sell some handicrafts to make a living.

When he finished his story, somebody asked him “ beta, why are you going to the city now?’. He replied, “I am going there to get these handicrafted things to be sold. In city, there may be many people who want to buy these type of things”. The lady said,“But, beta you are too little to go to a big city like that”. He just smiled , saying nothing..

Everybody felt a heaviness in their heart, and felt sorry for him. Meenu, had a sinking feeling, and she found some tears falling over her cheeks. She was having a strange feeling..a feeling of regret, a feeling of having learnt something,..Now she knows, her tears is not only for the boy, but for her parents also..She missed them so badly that she want to hug them and cry enough to wash away all the mistakes she had done to them, for all the things that made them hurt. She got really moved by his story..

She checked her bag, and without counting, she took out all the money she had now and gave to him. The boy got so surprised, and tried to hesitate first. She managed to tell him, that she had gave him this, with all her heart, and he can take it as a gift from his sister. Every one appreciated her deed, and some came forward to buy some of his products.

Now, she is walking along the road leading to her home..where, her parents eagerly waiting for her to come back. Now she feel satisfied, and content on what she has got in her life..

Compromises..

Somebody said- “Life is not all about compromises “...Akash got a weird smile , when Maya said this. They are working in the same BPO. Now having a coffee break  after a long session.

Maya , age 21 is smart, pretty, and very much ambitious about life. she has a very clear idea of what she need from life, and what she want to do in life. And, the the job at this call centre is just a break  for her. Akash was still thinking about what she said just before,..and letting him have enough thinking, Maya went to get coffee for both.

“life is not all about compromises” ..may be its true, but except the case of Akash..For him, what was in life was only compromises..compromises...

It was when he lost his father, and mother married again..When he had a sister and brother in mother’s 2nd marriage, he lost his part of parental love.. He lost his first love, before he confess it, as they didn’t allow him to join her school but in a boarding school after his 10th. He lost his best friends, when supporting another friend, who backstabbed him later. He couldn’t study his favourite course, as there was no support from family. And he made a compromise again when he had to marry a girl, just because she was wealthy, but not educated or good in anything. It was his step father’s idea to get him married with his friend’s daughter, just for the money they can give as dowry.. And  now,he is alone giving  up everything behind, and working in a call centre ,  that is very far away from home...Now he is living..just living...

He stopped thinking, when he saw Maya coming with two coffee for them..She don’t know his story. Nobody there know that..and he don’t want to tell them. “ and he said “Maya, what were you talking about..?something about life..and compromises or something..?”..

A big realization from a little- part 2

Meenu got so much angry. She accused them for not giving her freedom, she said “I am not a kid any more, being a grown up girl, I know, what is good and what is bad for me .It is not a big deal that you both done for me. Every parents do that. I need to go, and I have come home only to get money for that. If you are not ready to give it, I know what to do.”. Her parents are startled at her behaviour. Each word from her hit them, as a huge blow. They couldn’t respond at all. Meenu, then hurriedly packed her bag and set out to hostel. She didn’t mind to hear her parents calling her back. She was just out of her mind..

“Are you alone or Is there anybody with you?”.... Meenu just woke up from her thoughts. She looked for the person who asked this, and found that the question was actually not for her. She found a little boy, of some 10 years old standing next to her seat. It was a lady, sitting with her asked the boy, whether there is anybody he come with.

The boy looked so innocent, and was a little hesitant to speak up. But the lady asked again, and he said “I am alone, and nobody is with me”. That was really surprising, a 10 year old from a village, travelling in a city bus with nobody in the place of a guardian. In the cities, the things are different anyway. This is not a city, but an ordinary village, and the bus is heading to the city. That’s why everyone got surprised including Meenu. She thought, may be he too had some quarrel with his parents and setout alone. But, he is too little to take a decision like that. Her mind is now turned in to the thoughts about him, and she is becoming calmer than before. Then, another lady asked where his parents are, and why they send him alone. The first lady asked whether he had some quarrel at home. Everybody now want to know his whereabouts. And he made everyone surprised telling his story..

A big realization from a little - part 1

She was looking outside the window, but actually not watching anything. A lot of thoughts are flooding inside her. Her mind was wandering somewhere. She was having a mixture of emotions; she was angry and was feeling to shout loud, at the same time having an urge to cry as much as she could. But she can’t. She just can’t because there are a lot of people nearby, she can’t cry or shout publically. Her name is Meenu, a 20 year old sweet girl, doing her graduation in a college far  from her hometown.

She has been at her home for two weeks on vacation. Now, going back to the college hostel. Her parents are very fond of her, being their only child, and reluctant to send her in a distant college. But, thinking about her future, the finally decided to send her way from them.

At first, Meenu was also very sad to live away from parents, but gradually she joined  the flow. She was very thrilled to join such a big college, meeting children from different places in the country; finally she has become one of them. She got so many friends; her attitude towards life got changed, She is not an ordinary village girl anymore. Her thoughts are changed. The frequency of calls to her home got decreased., and she speak very less to her parents now. She think them as old buddies, who can’t understand how to enjoy life.

Now she need everything expensive, branded things, to be in an equal level with her friends, who are from rich families, and come college just to show off. When she got a vacation, she came to home with an idea of getting something from them. She need some money, for a trip with her friends. She need it for buying some new trendy dresses and accessories, and some more things too. The money she asked was a huge amount to the parents, and they also didn’t agreed the idea of the trip with friends.
